For more than 20 years, I’ve been writing songs.

Some are prayers. Some are stories. Some are medicine. Some came through heartbreak, motherhood, devotion, transformation, and the strange and beautiful process of becoming who I am.

And for a very long time, most of them have lived quietly with me.

I’m finally ready to change that.

I believe music can reach places that ordinary language cannot. A lyric can give words to something we’ve carried silently for years. A rhythm can move grief through the body. A voice can remind us of our own power. A song can share wisdom in ways that doctrine can only try to approximate. The kind of wisdom gained from direct realization, and transformed through the artist’s tongue into a fine mead of poetry.

That is the kind of music that comes through me.
